The 2013 NSA season for Northern Indiana will be highlighted by the extension of past programs and the addition of some new events. The goal of the NSA staff is to provide a quality program for competitive tournament teams with the awarding of travel funds and post season berths and to award uniform discounts to all NSA league championship teams.
The NSA has renamed the classes in the men’s division. We will no longer use letters (A,B,C,D & E) for team class, but will instead use Super, Elite, Gold, Silver, & Bronze. Also, the home run limits have been changed for every class.
The new Director’s Cup Series has been launched for 2013 that will provide a program for Gold, Elite, and Super teams. The Director’s Cup will provide travel funds and berths to NSA Post Season Events. Additional information may viewed by clicking on the Director’s Cup tab or by going to: www.nsadirectorcup.com.
Players will be required to go to www.playnsa.com and register. This will allow accurate information being placed on team rosters and when registering, every player will be sent an "app" that will allow the player to view all NSA information including brackets for all tournaments being played
The 2013 Buffalo Wild Wings Series has been designed for "Silver" and "Bronze" teams that will have ten (10) leg tournaments plus the North States. The total travel funds that will be awarded have been increased from $5,000 to $6,000 or $3,000 per class. There will also be an end of the year drawing worth over $2,500 to the winner. There will be several "Chasing the Benjamin’s" tournaments scheduled for 2013, with the majority being set for class "Gold" teams. In each Chase tourney, $100 per team entered into the tournament will be awarded to the champion.
TYJA Sports will again provide a certificate for every NSA league champion team. This $200 certificate may be applied toward the purchase of team uniforms. Teams should see their respective league Director to obtain the certificate.
November 2, 2013 the 3rd annual hall of fame banquet will be held at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City. Inductees for the hall of fame will be honored along with annual award winners. For additional information click on the Hall of Fame tab to the left of the screen.
